About the Pendant:

This pendant is crafted from 925 sterling silver and inlaid with blue and dark blue natural Japanese/Chinese lacquer.

What is Urushi Lacquer?

Urushi lacquer, a traditional Japanese finish, is known for its durability, glossy finish, and deep, rich colors. It is derived from the sap of the urushi tree and has been used for centuries in Japanese art and craftsmanship.

Craftsmanship:

This exquisite masterpiece is created layer by layer, with each coat curing for 24 hours before the next is applied. The process continues until the silver frame is fully covered with lacquer, taking approximately 10 to 25 days. After the application of the lacquer, the piece is carefully sanded and polished to perfection.
